Description

This task allows students to identify metal cations in unknown solids by flame test experiment.

The salts are NaCl, KCl, LiCl, CaCl₂, MgCl₂ and BaCl₂. It's possible to carry out the model experiment with the solids with known composition to use the observed colors to identify the metal ions in unlabeled jars.

The system automatically checks whether the student was correct in each metal cation identification.
