What is Vic's Science Studio?

Vic's Science Studio is a powerful tool for science educators, mainly high school teachers. Currently it's mainly chemistry, however in future there are plans to extend the product to physics and biology. Vic's Science Studio helps teachers to organize chemistry lab practical in safe and immersive media, minimizing teacher's headaches with preparation, maintenance and disposal of chemicals, glassware and equipment, as well as safety concerns working with chemicals.

Vic's Science Studio is designed to be not only a virtual chemistry lab, but a tool for the teachers. It's a complex of the following:

  1. XR application 
  2. Teacher Dashboard web interface
  3. Zero-code Task builder 
  4. Physico-chemical model 

 

XR Application

Vic's Science Studio app offers an immersive virtual chemistry laboratory experience that authentically recreates the actions and behaviors of working in a real laboratory environment. Our key distinguishing feature is our advanced physicochemical model, which gives users unlimited freedom in their laboratory actions and experiments. Unlike other simulations, the reactions are not pre-programmed - instead, all chemical interactions are processed in real-time on our servers, with results calculated and displayed according to actual laws of physics and chemistry. This means every experiment produces realistic results that accurately mirror what would happen in nature.


The application allows users to conduct experiments with the same level of precision and attention to detail as they would in a real laboratory, while providing the flexibility and safety of a virtual environment. Each chemical interaction is dynamically computed based on fundamental scientific principles rather than following predetermined scenarios.

Teacher Dashboard

Teacher Dashboard is a easy-to-use internal Learning Management System (LMS) designed to streamline the administration of virtual laboratory activities in classroom settings. This powerful tool enables educators to  manage student accounts, laboratory assignments, and learning activities within our virtual chemistry environment.


Key features of the Teacher Dashboard include:

  • Complete user management (creation, modification, and removal of student accounts)
  • Assignment administration and tracking
  • License management and distribution
  • Managing of student progress and activities


This integrated management solution makes it simple to incorporate our virtual chemistry laboratory into existing educational workflows while maintaining full control over student access and activities.

Task builder

Task Builder is a powerful system that enables users to create custom laboratory scenes using the equipment and glassware available in our virtual chemistry laboratory. The system features an intuitive graphical interface that allows users to design and program new scenarios without any coding knowledge or technical expertise.


This approach makes it possible to create customized tasks that align with specific educational needs of teachers. Given that chemistry curricula and teaching requirements vary worldwide, our Task Builder provides the flexibility to develop laboratory exercises that closely match individual teaching objectives and local educational standards.

  • Visual scene creation using existing laboratory equipment
  • Drag-and-drop interface for easy setup
  • No programming skills required
  • Rapid task development and modification
  • Customizable to meet different educational requirements

Currently, while Task Builder is not directly available to end users, we offer a custom task development service where users can request specific laboratory scenarios. Thanks to Task Builder's efficient structure, our team can rapidly develop and implement these requested tasks to meet the exact specifications of teachers and educational institutions. This approach allows us to maintain quality control while still providing customized solutions for our users' unique educational needs.


Physico-chemical model (PCM)

The model is a heart of the lab. PCM is an engine that calculates the contents of each laboratory vessel and performs operations to determine both qualitative and quantitative composition according to the laws of physics and chemistry. 


When reagents are mixed together, the app sends chemistry-related data to the server, where the system processes and calculates the result that accurately reflect what would occur in nature. 


For the moment, AI is NOT involved in the model calculations allowing to minimize "hallucinations" when showing the reaction result.
